Hi

I have installed Oracle 8i with Developer2000 6. It is installed properly and working fine. I have made my software using Oracle 8 & Developer2000 2.0 form 5.0. When I running the forms. It is working fine. but while inserting new record - the cursor will jump to start position in field after the space given. For Example When I type address "Lakshami Bhuvan" After "Lakshami(space) is given the cursor goes back to start position that is before Lakshami. so while typing continusly it will show "BhuvanLakshami". It will happen to all the field in the form.

Another example for Numerical fields - Format of cell is 00000

When i type number like 12 even before i completing the number the cursor goes back to start position and it will change to "00012" automatically. I have kept the copy of old software in another machine having Oracle 8 & Developer 2000 2.0. It is working properly.

Please help me & guide me

Thanks.

Do you have any 'mouse' based triggers in your code? Maybe even some 'timers' in your code?

Yes I have the timers in my software for showing the clock at above. I have removed it and problem is solved. Thanks David.

If I want to use the timers - if you know please tell me what to do

Thanks,
Mitesh

I think your timer must be navigating to another field, doing something to it, and then coming back. Verify whether you can 'do the work' without leaving your current field.
