hello all

i ahve been given an assignment to develope a library information system and i have to use bar code reader h/w for reading of bar code


now i really don't know the fuctionality of bar code reader and how to incorporate it in my system

what will be the code

how to genearte bar codes

so someone can help from scratch how bar code reader works and then how to implment it in developer 6

hi,
It's not a difficult task.
You need to purchase the hardawe "Barcode Reader Machine".
After you have purchased this, you'll attach it to the computer. And as soon as you'll scan any barcode with this machine, it will read the code. The only task you have to do in the forms is to move your cursor to the required item in the form where you want the code to be populated.
I think, you first purchase the hardware and then it will be easy for you to understand.
