We're upgrading a system from Forms 6i to 10g. Quite a lot of the forms use ole2 to produce excel sheets, so we've worked on switching them to webutil

the only problem we have is that the process gets hung up while trying to open the excel object, and we have no idea as to what can cause this phenomenon.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi i think you can use this function to open the excel

CLIENT_HOST('cmd /c start "" "' || <File destination> ||'"');
